Fro To Frocore Inc.
Story Hour: From Fro to FroCore to FroCore Inc.
Long before there was a FroCore Inc., there was simply Fro.
Fro came from a nickname I had carried with me for years. But over time, it became more than a nickname. It became a way to put a little bit of myself into the ideas I had been carrying around for much of my life.
I have always had ideas about how things on the internet could work differently.
Not necessarily bigger. Not necessarily more complicated.
Just different.
I wondered why an auction site couldn't feel more social. Why a classified ad couldn't simply roll through a fair feed instead of getting buried under hundreds of listings. Why creators couldn't have a place that gave everyone a fair opportunity to be discovered. Why a social network couldn't give ordinary people a fair voice without allowing money or popularity to determine who gets seen.
For years, many of those thoughts were just that—thoughts.
Then I started building.
One idea became a website. One website led to another. Before long there was Fro's Auctions, Fro's Creative, Fro's Ads, Fro's Lucky Rides, ReadShare, FroReminds, and eventually Fro's Social.
I started noticing something.
These weren't really separate ideas anymore.
They shared the same philosophy.
Keep things simple. Make them fair. Give ordinary people a chance. And build technology around people instead of asking people to adapt to the technology.
The name FroCore began to make sense.
“Fro” was where it started.
“Core” was what connected everything.
FroCore became the foundation underneath the different platforms—the common ideas, technology, modules, designs, and principles that allowed each project to have its own personality while still belonging to something larger.
Eventually, I realized something else.
If I was serious about what I was building, FroCore couldn't remain just the name I put at the bottom of a website.
It needed to become a company.
And so FroCore became FroCore Inc.
Seeing those words for the first time meant more to me than simply forming a corporation.
It meant that something that had existed in my imagination had become real enough to have a name, a home, and a future.
Today when I see “Powered by FroCore,” I know what sits behind those three words.
Years of ideas.
A lot of mistakes.
A lot of rebuilding.
Plenty of late nights.
And quite a few moments when something finally worked and I just sat there looking at the screen and smiled.
FroCore wasn't created because I wanted to copy what somebody else had already built. It grew from my own ideas, visions, and dreams about how online platforms could work differently.
And now I'm writing this story inside one of those ideas—Fro's Social.
That's probably my favorite part.
The story of FroCore isn't being written on a piece of paper describing something I hope to build someday.
I'm writing it inside something we actually built.
From Fro...
to FroCore...
to FroCore Inc.
And the story isn't finished yet.
